International Field Days Bulgaria 2019

The Exhibition

The 2nd Edition of International Field Days Bulgaria will be held from 30 May – 1 June, 2019 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The event is organized by DLG Bulgaria, a subsidiary of DLG International (German Agricultural Society) in cooperation with IFWexpo and the Agricultural University Plovdiv.

From 5 – 7th of June 2018, the first edition of the International Field Days Bulgaria attracted 47 local and international exhibitors from countries such as Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Switzerland and Turkey. Companies presented their latest machinery, products and solutions for the agricultural industry to about 1,650 visitors from eight different countries and regions in Bulgaria on the 14 hectare demonstration and training field of the Agricultural University Plovdiv. BASF, Caussade, Euralis, Lemken, Claas, Nik electronic and more showcased their products in 2018.

The Market

The Field Days will take place on demonstration fields of the Plovdiv Agricultural University. Plovdiv is situated about 150 km south-east of the capital Sofia in the center of the fertile valley of Maritsa River – one of the most important Bulgarian cultivation areas for crops, oil seeds, fruits and vegetables. Bulgaria has a total of about 4.5 Mio. ha of agricultural land of which approx. 800,000 ha are situated in the central-southern part next to Plovdiv.

The International Field Days will be a unique and absolutley novel event facing strong demand among Bulgarian farmers and other agricultural experts.
