IFFIP 2020 – International Forum of Food Industry and Packaging

Food Processing and Packaging
23 - 25 September
Kyiv, Ukraine
Deadline for international companies: 31.01.2020

The Exhibition

The annual IFFIP – International Forum of Food Industry and Packaging – was created in 2009 through the merger of the established trade fairs Food Expo and Pack Fair. The aim was to create a platform that covers the entire spectrum of products and services for the food industry: from raw material processing to the finished product and its preparation. Since then IFFIP has become the main event of the Ukrainian food and packaging industry.

The Market

The agri-food industry is the most important area of industry in Ukraine. Following the widespread disappearance of the Russian market after 2014, more and more Ukrainian producers and processors are trying to gain a foothold in international markets. Helpful here were generous quotas for Ukrainian products in the context of the deepened EU free trade agreement with Ukraine. Numerous companies have already modernized their production processes and standards or are in the process of doing so. For European plant manufacturers, this offers numerous new business opportunities. More and more Ukrainian products, whether fresh or processed, compete on the market with European products such as apples and berries. In return, the removal of almost all EU food import restrictions will also provide opportunities for European producers of high-quality foods such as cheese, meat and sausage products, beer and wine in a slowly growing market.
