AgroProdMash is the meeting point for manufacturers and dealers of food and packaging machinery as well as ingredients and additives since 1996. At the last exhibition, 366 companies took part showcasing their machinery and equipment to more than 10.000 trade visitors from Russia and CIS states.

The imposed import ban on food has led to a steady increase of domestic food production in Russia. International manufacturer of agricultural, food and packaging machines are not affected by the import ban so that they benefit from increased investments of Russian manufacturers in the modernization of their facilities, especially for crop, meat and milk processing.

According to GTAI Russia is in demand of packaging machinery as people are looking more and more for safely packed food. Also, the government is planning to impose an environmental fee if manufacturers do not recycle their packaging. This, in turn, will lead to a growing demand for sustainable packaging.

The results of a survey among German manufacturers conducted by the German Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce showed that 50% of the companies expect a bigger growth in the field of food and agriculture and see a rising tendency of the longterm importance of the Russian market for their company.
