With more than 60.000 visitors and 900 exhibitors, the Coex Food Week is a renowned meeting point for food manufacturers, importers and distributors as well as supermarkets from Korea and abroad.

With the “Food Industry Technology Show Korea”, DLG and its local partner Coex are going to offer an ideal platform to manufacturers and distributors of handling and packaging machines, ingredients and further more elements of food processing to provide their product and services. Located in South Koreas economic center the Food Industry Technology Show is going to offer valuable networking synergies with the food manufacturing exhibitors of Coex Food Week and further professional visitors – accompanied by extensive professional programme.

2021, the German Pavilion will be again organized by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture at Food Industry. German companies and their local representatives and dealers can benefit from the favourable conditions of the German Pavilion.

The Market

With over 51 million inhabitants on a habitable space of approx. 30% of the national territory, South Korea is one of the tightest populated countries worldwide (1,700 inhabitants per square meter.) with an immense trend to urbanization. Merely 18% of the national territory can be used for agricultural purposes. For this reason South Korea is strongly dependent from imported goods, especially raw materials, but it also increases and improves its own food production efficiency.

As one of the fastest growing regions, experts estimate that approx. 40% of the world´s revenue of the food & beverage industry will be realized in Asia in the future. Thereby, South Korea has the position for progressive technologies, user-friendliness and neu trends a special status with high interest in international partnerships.

In the near future, the in food and beverage processing and packaging industry will experience a higher demand on the improvement of production processes and ingredients, production efficiency, product quality and food safety to satisfy the local end consumers´ requirements.
