25 - 27 May
Bangkok, Thailand

The Exhibition

Due to coronavirus AGRITECHNICA ASIA & Horti ASIA will be posponed until May 25-27, 2022!

AGRITECHNICA ASIA is the first spin-off of the world’s largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment, AGRITECHNICA in Hanover. While the focus in Europe is on innovations for the cultivation of cereals and maize, AGRITECHNICA ASIA expands the exhibition program further to include local solutions for the cultivation of rice, cassava and sugar cane. It has become instantly established as a central forum for decision-makers and experts from the fields of farming and agricultural technology in Asia-Pacific.

More than 10,000 visitors from about 69 countries gathered information at the second edition of AGRITECHNICA ASIA, which was held from 22 to 24 August 2018 in Bangkok (Thailand) together with Horti Asia, the tradeshow for horticulture and floriculture. Altogether about 300 exhibitors from 29 countries took part in the trade fairs, including the firms AGCO, Fliegl, Maschio Gaspardo, and Pöttinger as official launch partners. The exhibition enjoyed the support of the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, being the official co-host of the event.

An extensive technical program supplemented the range of products and services offered by the exhibitors. 500 top buyers from the entire Asia-Pacific region participated in the “Hosted Buyer Program”.

The next AGRITECHNICA ASIA will again be held together with Horti ASIA. It is scheduled for 14 until 16 October 2020 in Bangkok. Systems & Components Asia will be integrated as special exhibition area.

The trade fairs are jointly organized by the DLG – German Agricultural Society and the Dutch-Thai exhibition organizer VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific.

The Market

The mechanization of Asian farms covers a wide range of capabilities. At AGRITECHNICA ASIA the emphasis is on agricultural engineering solutions that are both relevant and important to the development of agriculture in the Asian markets. Mechanization through modern machinery will increase significantly in the next decade mainly due to the growing labor shortages, more competition and therefore the requirement to reduce production costs.

In addition to the strong growth currently in individual Southeast-Asian countries, this developing region as a whole will be further boosted by the ASEAN grouping by further regional integration in economic cooperation, food trade development and agri-innovations for sustainable food production. Thailand is considered a hub for the machinery trade and smart farming in the region, which is underlined by the choice of Bangkok as the venue for AGRITECHNICA ASIA.
