The Exhibition

The third edition of the Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia (AFTEA) exhibition platform will focus on topics such as Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA)/Vertical Farming, Insect Breeding in Building-Integrated Cultivation and Processing, Components and Plant Engineering for CEA, Urban Smart Farming, Agriculture & Urban Protein, including processing of plant-based protein sources and Novel Foods (e.g. in-vitro meat, alternative protein sources, new varieties) and other related topics.

The Market

Singapore is recognised worldwide as a driver of innovation and investment for the region and as a pioneer in the field of unusual agricultural/horticultural cultivation methods and new forms of food production.

From Singapore’s point of view, its geographical characteristics, but also the generally growing world population, require innovative approaches and technologies for the sustainable production and processing of food, including the realisation of long-term trends in the food sector.

The well-known Singapore government investment fund TEMASEK, whose subsidiary Constellar Exhibitions PTE Ldt. developed the AFTEA concept in 2021 together with DLG e.V., is also committed to this goal.
