In 2025 AGRITECHNICA ASIA goes to Vietnam
AGRITECHNICA ASIA is part of the portfolio of the DLG world’s leading trade fair for agricultural technology, AGRITECHNICA in Hanover. The trade fair, founded in Bangkok in 2017, serves the leading Asian markets. Next year’s AGRITECHNICA ASIA will take place for the first time in Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) from March 12th to 14th together with the DLG horticultural trade fair HortEx. In 2026 it will be Bangkok’s turn again in May and from then on the trade fair will alternate between Thailand and Vietnam every year under the name AGRITECHNICA ASIA /HortEx.
HortEx, which has been affiliated with the DLG since 2022, is one of Southeast Asia’s leading trade fairs for horticulture and floristry. HortEx is organized by the local company VEAS (Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Services Co, Ltd. and Nova Exhibitions BV from the Netherlands, the undisputed innovation leader for horticulture and floristry. The merger of the two trade fairs results in synergies, particularly in the areas of technology and plant production and thus offer visitors a compact overview of the available technologies and innovations.
Next year, as in previous years, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture will support AGRITECHNICA ASIA with a German joint stand. All German companies, as well as their subsidiaries, representatives and local dealers, are welcome to take part.

Vietnam is a constantly growing market with a population of 100 million people. Agriculture is a cornerstone of the Vietnamese economy. The country is one of the world’s largest producers of rice, coffee and black pepper, with the fertile Mekong Delta in particular being an important area for rice cultivation. In recent years, the importance of potato cultivation has also increased, especially in the northern border regions with China.
The government’s continued modernization efforts and the market forces of a rapidly developing emerging country have led to greater sustainability and modern agricultural practices overall. The Vietnamese government’s plans to promote the mechanization and automation of agriculture offer Vietnam significant potential, especially for international agricultural machinery manufacturers and providers in the horticulture/vertical farming sector.
